AFAW membership is free; this is a people's movement and money should not be an obstacle to participation.
However, we need to fund the movement to promote the War Powers Amendment successful ratification to the United States Constitution. AFAW will do this in two initial ways: first, we are asking every American who supports the War Powers Amendment to donate $1 per year. If you can. This is not a requirement for membership. If you can donate more, that would be so awesome! Second, we will be selling items donate by others and use the proceeds for supporting the movement financially in its educational efforts to ratify the Amendment. If you have an item that you can donate to AFAW to help promote the movement, this too would be great!
To start it all off, I have donated my audiobook: Lettes to African-Americans: Chiefly On Orthodox Christianity. This is more an act of convenience than choice. For a donation of $10, you will receive all 4 CDs to this audiobook that discusses Isalm, Christianity and their realationship to the African-American Experience in America. I am donating 80% of the proceeds from each sale to AFAW for the War Powers Amendment Movement.
